When a child is seriously ill or injured, everything changes. For families across Western Australia — many travelling from regional and remote communities — being close to their child during treatment can mean choosing between a place to stay and being there for the people they love most.
Ronald McDonald House WA believes no family should ever have to make that choice.
With houses located steps away from Perth Children's Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Ronald McDonald House WA provides free, supported accommodation so families can stay together through the hardest moments of their lives. In 2024 alone, their Family Retreats supported over 740 families — almost 200 more than the year before.
Beyond accommodation, they provide family rooms within the hospital for moments of rest, an educational learning program so sick children don't fall behind at school, and holiday retreats in Busselton, Bunbury and Mandurah where families can breathe, reconnect and heal together.
They also offer these families other crucial services;
Ronald McDonald House WA provides free, supported accommodation just steps away from Perth Children's Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital, so families never have to choose between being there for their child and having a safe, comfortable place to stay. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, their houses offer all the comforts of home during one of the hardest chapters a family can face.

A home cooked meal is something most of us take for granted. Through programs like Home for Dinner and Lovin' from the Oven, community volunteers cook and deliver meals from the heart for families staying at Ronald McDonald House WA — one small but meaningful way to make an incredibly hard day a little easier.
When a child is sick, school can quickly fall away. Ronald McDonald House WA's Learning Program provides free one-on-one tutoring for school-aged children whose education has been disrupted by illness or injury, helping kids stay connected to learning and keeping a sense of normality alive during an incredibly difficult time.

These Christmas in July Charity Minis exist to give you a warm, cosy pocket of time together where the only thing on the agenda is being present with the people you love most.
Tucked away from the dreary winter weather, inside a festive studio filled with fairy lights, blankets and hot chocolates, you and your loved ones can settle in and enjoy the moment while you help wrap a gift for a child spending this winter in hospital, bringing a little magic to a family who needs it most.
20 minutes. Beautiful photos. A contribution that matters.
July 25 & 26 - 20 Minutes - $130
Each session includes:
20 minute session on a custom Christmas themed set at Sol Tank Studios
Hot Chocolates included for couples and families, glass of wine available to couples & parents
5-10 professionally edited images delivered via digital gallery
You and your loved ones can wrap some presents to help out the children supported by RMHC WA
A little gift for the kids at the end of the session
Session fees include $20 donation to RMHC WA
